Ignorant Americans?

It is astonishing that hippies like Gwyneth Paltrow can rail against ignorant Americans while at the same time, her political allies in the American academy (very few of which are "capitalistic"), exacerbate what ignorance problem there is with tripe like the University of Washington's new minor in "diversity studies."

If we want to emulate the English, instead of forswearing work and money, perhaps we can start by eradicating these stupid PC majors - I doubt they'd pass the laugh test at Cambridge.

The object of the minor is to give students the resources to learn about diversity and form their own opinions.

“We have many units in our university that address and engage these issues from so many different perspectives,” he said.

Ah, yes. SO many perspectives. Let's list them:

- "Ethnic Studies" profs (who traffick in racial disharmony to keep their jobs) hippies who believe unquestioningly in the religion of diversity;

- Feminist hippies who believe unquestioningly in the religion of diversity;

- "Noble Savage" myth believing hippies who believe unquestioningly in the religion of diversity;

- Communist (hiding behind "social justice" labels) hippies who believe unquestioningly in the religion of diversity;

- Liberal poli sci Bushplanned9/11 hippies who believe unquestioningly in the religion of diversity...

Etc. There is no real difference in perspective. The diversity here is merely skin deep - underneath the skin colors, sexual orientations, etc is a stark uniformity of opinion that would make Chairman Mao proud.

Science requires rigorous cynicism and aggressive attempts to disprove theories - neither of which can be tolerated here amidst all out tolerance. Something tells me no different perspective will be taught beyond trotting out an old Pat Buchanan column for everyone to snicker at. No serious perspective will be proffered that our many millions spent on diversity for its own sake does nothing for minorities, the poor, whites, or society in general, and especially not when compared to the costs involved. Pathetic.

Just one more way for people who rely absolutely on the falsehood that we are a racist society to keep their worthless jobs. Sad that the taxpayer subsidize this crap.
